In July, 2007 JSC “Klaipėdos kartonas” started the production of the new product – paper honeycomb.
Paper honeycomb is widely used in:

furniture industry;
-
construction industry (for internal doors, plasterboard constructions, wall panels, exhibitions);
-
package;
-
pallet production;

The paper honeycomb is produced according to the following specifications:
Mesh size - 12, 14, 21, 22, 23.5, 25, 30, 40mm;
Comb height - from 13 up to 100mm ;
Unstretched honeycomb width - from 600 up to 1800mm;
Produced in blocks or continuous band;
Stretched block size - from 1m up to 18m;
Grooves width – up to1,5mm;
Grooves depth – up to 3,0mm;
Raw material for honeycomb - testlainer from 125 up to 200g/m²;
Compression strenght - from 0,1 up to 4,0 kg/cm²;
The SmartWood Program of the Rainforest Alliance has certificated Klaipedos kartonas to FSC ® Chain-of-Custody standards.

FSC certification - the procedure by which independent auditors ensure that product, process or service conforms with specified requirements. The standards are prepared in accordance with FSC principles and criteria. The certification allows for purchaser to choose those products which have been produced in accordance with well-defined standards.
