JSC “Klaipėdos kartonas”, which produces raw material for the corrugated cardboard production, cardboard products, and provides delivery services, is located near the Kuršiai lagoon, close to the city centre. It is an important fact, because company pays great attention to the environmental protection.
Company’s leadership, following the ISO 14001 standard requirements, undertakes to comply with the laws, norms and other requirements of national environment protection and promises to:

• seek the constant improvement of the effectiveness of the environment protection, reduce negative effects for environment from any company’s activities, use the procedures of environmental protection and integrated quality system management

• rationally use the water and energy resources, applying modern production technologies, and not making any harm to the quality of the production

• base the company’s activity on the principles of the pollution prevention

• observe and measure the activity’s effect to the environment and determine the aims of the reducing constant effect

• include the company’s environmental protection matters in the management activities of every employee as well as those, who work on the behalf of the company and to inform interested parties about this activity. The questions of the environment protection should be included in the plans of the employees’ trainings.
